Our History
Southside Foot Clinic has been part of the Greenwood community for more than 50 years. A lot has changed in podiatry since 1970, and we have made it our job to stay ahead of it. The heart of this practice, though, has not moved an inch. We listen carefully, explain things clearly, and treat every patient the way we would want our own families treated.
Today, we are proud to lead one of the most experienced podiatric teams on the south side.
Meet the Doctors
Some of my earliest childhood memories are of tagging along with my father on his rounds at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. Talk about take your daughter to work. I spent my teenage years working part time in his practice, and somewhere along the way I realized I had found my calling: working with people and finding practical solutions to their healthcare needs.
I am proud to be a third-generation podiatrist, and grateful I had the opportunity to practice alongside my father, Dr. J.K. Winckelbach, for more than a decade before he retired.
I graduated from Center Grove High School and Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!) before earning my Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Scholl College in Chicago in 2001, followed by a postgraduate surgical residency at St. Mary's Medical Center in Hobart, Indiana. I am board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and I currently serve on staff at Franciscan Health and Community Hospital South.
These days my practice focuses on bringing advanced techniques to the south side, including Lapiplasty 3D bunion correction, Tenex ultrasonic treatment, regenerative medicine, and our specialised approach to stubborn plantar warts. But what I love most has not changed since those early days in my dad's office: helping patients of all ages and activity levels get back to doing what they love.
At home you will find me with my husband Kirk, our three active sons, two Labradors, and an assortment of chickens, usually outside or wandering the garden growing flowers and vegetables.
It is a privilege to be trusted with your care. Welcome to our practice.

I am a double board-certified podiatrist originally from Northwest Indiana (The Region, for those who know). I made my way to central Indiana to study at Purdue University (Boiler Up!), then headed to Chicago for podiatric medical school. I missed central Indiana so much that I came back for my three-year surgical residency and never left. It is also where I met my wonderful husband, Tyler.
I decided to become a podiatrist during my undergraduate years, and the inspiration was my great-grandmother. She absolutely adored her foot doctor, which intrigued me. I wondered how nice it would be to be a doctor people adored visiting instead of feared. I started shadowing podiatrists, fell in love with the field, and to this day I am grateful for such a fulfilling career, one that lets me help people with everything from elective foot surgery to diabetic limb-saving procedures.
At Southside, my practice includes advanced rearfoot and ankle reconstruction along with one of my favourite parts of the job: caring for our youngest patients. Kids' feet are still growing, and getting things right early makes a lifelong difference.
Beyond patient care, I love teaching resident physicians, both podiatric surgical residents and family medicine residents. Part of being a physician is being a lifelong learner, and there is no better way to learn than to share knowledge with others.
I am also a musician. I toured Eastern Europe with the Purdue Symphonic Orchestra, where my primary instrument was oboe (with appearances on English horn), and my love of music goes back to classical piano as a young girl. I hope to pass that love of music, and of helping others, on to my twin daughters, Eleanor and Charlotte. You may run into our family, French Bulldog Reese included, at one of the many beautiful parks central Indiana has to offer.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
I am also honored to serve as the Second Vice President of the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association (IPMA).
