Clinical Experience

Evidence shows that procedures using Tenex Health TX® for diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) are precise and effective at removing the bony prominence that can lead to wound recurrence. In a study of 105 patients, 96% were healed with less than a 5% recurrence rate and an average healing time of just 3.5 weeks.1

Treat the Bony Prominence Contributing to Your Wounds

Tenex Health TX® uses advanced ultrasonic energy to remove scar tissue and address the bony prominence under the ulcer. This procedure is performed under local anesthesia, takes just minutes, and does not require stitches.

What to Expect From the Procedure

Day of Procedure

The procedure is performed in an outpatient setting, such as an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or your doctor’s office. You will typically remain awake under local anesthesia.

After the Procedure

Your doctor will dress the area with sterile gauze and prescribe antibiotics to ensure proper healing.

Post-Op Recovery

Your doctor may recommend staying off your feet and continuing standard wound care until the ulcer heals.

Diabetic Foot Care with Tenex Health TX®

The Tenex Health TX® System uses ultrasonic energy to treat pain-causing soft and hard tissue through a minimally invasive percutaneous approach. If you have tried physical therapy, cortisone injections, medication, or just taking time to ice, stretch and rest and are still in pain, talk to us.

This technique helps patients restore musculoskeletal function without the need for invasive surgery or general anesthesia, may give you quick pain relief, and should have you back to enjoying the things you love in a few weeks to a few months. This treatment can also be effective in cases of failed open, surgical procedures.
